Mobile HF antenna supplied with a base on a triple-magnet mount
This kit includes an AM-15M mobile HF antenna, an antenna base and a triple-magnet mount. The antenna is designed for radio communication on the 15 m band, while the base and magnetic mount secure it to a steel surface on the vehicle. This arrangement is convenient for field operation: the antenna can be fitted without a permanent through-panel installation and removed when it is not in use.
Installation requirements
The stated stability is ensured when the mount is installed on a clean, dry steel roof panel 0.8–1 mm thick, without body repairs or a thick layer of filler.
Important wind conditions
The permitted vehicle speed depends directly on weather conditions. The aerodynamic load is determined by the total oncoming airflow speed (V₁ + V₂, where V₁ is the vehicle speed and V₂ is the wind speed). In strong headwinds or gusty cross-headwinds of 15 m/s or more, and when passing oncoming trucks, reduce speed to avoid excessive wind load.
