When building smart home systems, industrial automation, research, or for hobbyist purposes, it can be difficult or impossible to run control cables to actuators. Remote automation can be accomplished with a universal wireless switch, which uses radio as the communication channel.
Using the 802.11 b/g/n standard, which is common in WLAN devices, allows you to integrate a WLAN switch into existing local and wireless networks using WLAN routers. Launching a wireless switch simply involves connecting power and configuring a WLAN connection to the control device or your facility's wireless network.
The WLAN switch is based on the popular miniature ESP-07E WLAN module and combines an open architecture, ease of use, and the ability to program the module's firmware yourself.
